WordPress 6.2 beta 2

WordPress 6.2 Beta 2 was released on February 14. As this is a development version, it should only be used on test sites. WordPress 6.2 Beta 2 can be tested in three ways:

  • Option 1: Install and activate the WordPress Beta Tester plugin (select the “Bleeding edge” channel and the “Beta/RC Only” stream).
  • Option 2: Download the Beta 2 files as a ZIP.
  • Option 3: Use the WP-CLI command: wp core update –version=6.2-beta2

The final release is currently scheduled for March 28th, and until then you can test the release to help fix as many issues as possible before the final release.

See the first beta post for more information on how to help with testing.
